Addressable Call Point

Description
The CBG370 is an addressable callpoint, which provides a manual means of initiating a fire alarm on the CF range of analogue addressable fire panels.
Designed and manufactured by Cooper to comply to the requirements of EN54 pt11, the callpoint is suitable for installations meeting the recommendations of BS5839 pt1: 2001.
On power up of the CF3000 panel the callpoint is automatically allocated an address. As with the other addressable equipment on the CF range of fire panels, the CBG370 callpoints have integral short circuit isolators ensuring maximum system integrity, should a short circuit fault occur on the loop.
The CBG370 can be flush mounted to a compatible electrical box or may be surface mounted using a back box (CXBB/R). The unit is operated by breaking a frangible glass element, having a clear vinyl coating, which prevents operator injury and the release of loose glass fragments upon activation.
In areas where the use of glass is prohibited then plastic re-settable elements may be used. The CBG370 is provided with a high visibility LED indicator, prominently positioned on the front of the moulding, indicating when the unit is operated. If a re-settable plastic element is used then a 'flag' indicator is provided to show operation.
Callpoint testing is carried out by the simple insertion of a supplied special test key, into a slot in the base of the callpoint. This allows the glass/plastic element to drop, so activating the callpoint. Removal of the key resets the element.
The CBG370 moulding is constructed of ABS plastic and on the standard unit is rated at IP42. If a weatherproof callpoint is required, then
available in the range is the CBG370/WPrated at IP67.
For areas where accidental or malicious activation is a problem the CBG370 can be fitted with a clear, hinged, polycarbonate cover (CXPC).
The CBG370 when installed as part of a Cooper Fire Systems, analogue addressable system forms part of up to 200 addressable devices that can be connected to each control panel loop.
